Hey guys! I would need to make an tourist visa in Vientien next week.

There are so many different informations about the documents that I need to go with.

I would like to hear from people who have done it recently what exactly they have asked for.

Thanks a lot in advance! x

Answer summary

To apply for a tourist visa in Vientiane, you need to make an advance appointment to submit your application. Recent experiences indicate that you do not need proof of funds, proof of onward travel, or hotel booking at the Thai consulate there. It's recommended to check the embassy's official website for the latest requirements and forms.

, there is no requirement for proof of funds, proof of onward travel or proof of a hotel booking at the thai consulate in Vientiane

BUT you need to make a booking to turn in your application at this site BEFORE you show up there

EDIT: Ignore this post - the embassy's website was old, and (hopefully) taken down soon.

Just go by what it says at the embassy's website, and you'd be fine.

:O You're kidding me!

Thanks for letting me know. I checked the website you posted below, and it looks so much better then their old website. Hopefully they'll take down the old one soon.
