What documents are required for re-entry into Thailand with a retirement visa?

So I'm in Thailand on a one year Retirement Visa. Multiple entries. Now I'm going out of the country for the first time. Are there any documents I need to show when I return to Bangkok? Or is it enough with the stamp in the passport?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When returning to Thailand on a multiple entry Retirement Visa, you generally only need to present your passport. If you obtained a re-entry permit before leaving, that will suffice as well. It's also recommended to complete the TDAC form online prior to re-entry, as this is a requirement for all non-Thai nationals. A TM30 form may not be necessary if your address hasn't changed since your last submission. However, it's advisable to check your specific immigration office's requirements, as they can vary.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

If its multi entry visa then just your passport as the multi entry allows you back into Thailand multiple times hence the term multiple. Still need to do the TDAC and TM30. But if you unsure of responses on here ask immigration, read the embassy website with visa info.

Steve Pettman Any non Thai national needs TDAC. A minute online, free.

When filing it, online, Thai address is needed. Most would have a problem spelling the address out. Unless it is as simple as Sheraton Sukhumwit.

When leaving the immigration officer should see the reentry permit on his computer - As a precaution open your passport to the reentry permit page and show and tell the immigration officer the reentry permit as you hand him your passport… After he returns you passport open it to the original Non O Visa page and make sure it has not been stamped “USED”

Kevin Rummelhart rubbish, no need to show it when leaving only on re-entry but the OP has a multi-entry visa not a re-entry permit ;)

Curious?… When completing the DTAC when asked the “Visa Number” should you put your Non O Visa number or the ReEntry Permit number?

Adam Shirley Can you enlighten me? Every entry into the Kingdom will need a TDAC. As for TM30, it will depend on whether it is still the address as someone had highlighted (plus the date must still be valid). The landlord or hotel reception will do the submission normally. But I am the condo's owner and so I submit the TM30 myself

It depends on the expiry date of your multi entry OA visa.

If you are to arrive back in Thailand for each subsequent visit before the expiry date of your original multi entry OA visa then you don't need a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.

Each time you enter using your multi entry you will receive permission to remain in Thailand up until the expiry date of your current Health Insurance (to a maximum of 1 year)

However if one of your re-entries is going to mean you arrive after the expiry date of your original OA multi entry visa then you should get a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.

This will allow you to re-enter and remain in Thailand until the end date of your previous permission to remain.

All good, just check the expiry date that they stamp you back in for. Make sure they don't just give you 60 days instead of the remaing term of your extension.

FYI: for those who need to renew visas (Chiang Mai) extremely busy at the moment. It seems the trouble in the middle east has people heading to immigration to extend visas causing significant back-ups and spill over to following day.

TDAC form (online, free), it is recognized by Immigration when your passport is swiped.

Your passport and nothing else.

(you may want to print the TDAC just in case).

Jim Davis do it online on your phone then save the TDAC on your photo gallery. Normally they do not request it as it will show on their system when coming through Immigration.

Sebastian Barrow Yes, that will do in rare occassions when it has to be processed manually. A copy, either on paper or on the phone.

If you already have the re-entry permit then that’s enough. Check the stamp you get on re-entering that they give you the correct date.
