What is the document need for remote job? is certificate of employment is enough?
Answer summary
To work remotely in Thailand, a certificate of employment is not enough on its own. You typically need to provide a variety of documents including:
1. A certificate or letter from your employer that explicitly states permission to work remotely while in Thailand.
2. An employment contract specifying your salary and allowing remote work.
3. Bank statements from the last 3-6 months showing regular salary deposits, and proof of having at least THB 500,000 in your account.
4. Additional proof of your employment, like your employer's website, portfolio, or LinkedIn profile.
5. A detailed cover letter to the embassy outlining your intentions not to work for Thai companies.
6. It's advisable to follow the official guidelines closely, as requirements can vary slightly in practice.

Should do it. Their mainly looking to see that your remotely employed and paid and wont be working for thai companies and have enough cash to contribute to the thai economy while here.
- A standard employment contract stating your salary and confirming that you are allowed to work remotely.
- A bank account statement showing at least three months of transactions. The account must have a balance of at least THB 500,000 (or the equivalent amount in another currency).
- If you’re using multiple accounts (e.g., an investment account and a daily-use account), it’s better to include statements for all of them.
- Don’t forget to include a letter describing your work, along with a few examples from your portfolio. (Signed by you)
It's all explained on the official website, and it's worth following that to the letter and triple checking everything. In reality, it seems that everyone's experience is very slightly different, so it's not enough to rely on what we say, but rather specifically what is asked for.
Certificate of employment plus contract of employment, 3-6 mths of bank statements with salary deposits, salary slips, letter permitting remote work in Thailand and with non-Thai clients/businesses only, business registration, details of remote work.
