TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a retirement visa (type OA) in Thailand, you must provide a criminal background check and medical documentation. Additionally, you need to show proof of medical insurance that includes at least 40,000 THB in outpatient coverage and 400,000 THB in inpatient coverage. Also, for your Certificate of Entry (COE), you will require insurance covering at least $100,000 for COVID-19. While you can apply for your visa without a confirmed travel date, having travel arrangements is part of the COE requirement.
