TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a one-month extension for a tourist visa at the Jomtien immigration office, you should bring your TM30 form and passport photos, as well as the TM6 card filled out during your arrival in Thailand. Additionally, you need to provide photocopies of your passport's data page, your most recent visa, your latest stamp, and your departure card. Be prepared with two passport-sized photos and the fee of 1,900 THB. It's crucial to verify the dates on your visa extension once processed, as different offices may have varying policies and documentation requirements.

Is this at the Jomtien Immigration office? Just wondering because not all immigration offices have a copying service (to pay) INSIDE the immigration offices.

I just came from doing this at Jomtien. A lot of people were getting bounced today because of problems with the TM30. Also check the date carefully in your passport when it is returned. I got outside and found that they had given me 30 days from today instead of 30 days from the expiry of my initial TR Visa. Went straight back in to get this fixed and happily the front desk people saw that it was wrong.

My hotel had apparently not been doing the registrations online so they wrote a letter and hastily did it for only the last few days. The Immigration office found it online and printed it out for me. It would be best to have the copy from the hotel.

You will ask your hotel for a printout of the TM30 they sent to the immigration office.

Not exactly sure but of the six people that went to the desk while I was waiting, three were sent away. I heard the officer ask " where were you staying?" and "I will have to call the owner"

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and ant to use their special forms)

4. 2x passport pictures

5. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport
