What do I need to do for my Non-O marriage visa re-entry while going back to Australia?

The airport is a madhouse. Get it at your local immigration office.

Your Thai wife wants your money but not you. Do what visa place says, not her.

You need a re entry permit. That's all.

Safer to get the re-entry permit at local immigration than airport.

At airport you need to purchase it before clearing immigration at a separate desk. If you miss that and clear immigration, your extension of stay is void.

And you will need to re apply your extension of stay all over again when you return.

Single is ok 1000 baht.

It's complicated at the airport now, maybe even impossible as the office that did the re-entry permits (not visa) is located outside the barrier where you digitally check out of Thailand, is it possible to call an IO over to have it done before you scan your passport, possibly, but I wouldn't chance it, best to go to your nearest immigration.

Why do you require multiple re-entry do you pkan on leaving multiple times during the year of your current visa? If not you can buy a single re-entry permit. Remember you must be coming back before your visa expires

for just one trip to Australia and back, just buy a single re-entry permit. It costs 1000 THB. A multi re-entry permit costs 3800 THB

Terry, I got my multi re-entry permit from Phetchabun immigration, my local office. Very easy and helpful staff. I understood from them and my Thai wife, if I were to do more than 1 trip outside the Kingdom during my Non-O Thai wife visa, I would need a multi re-entry one. I too didn’t disagree or question my wife when she advised this !!

Unless you have to travel several times in the year a single re-entry will do, can also get at the local immigration

If you are going to travel more than four times per year than a Multi reentry is the way to go. Otherwise just get a single reentry.

You can do it at the airport but you may want to give yourself an extra hour just in case, take passport sized photos.

You need to purchase a re-entry permit which will keep your current stamp alive but won't extend the period so you need to be back before your extension of stay expires. You can buy either at the airport on your way out or at your local immigration office
