Is anybody experienced Non-O-Marriage Visa with a Thai Man and western female.
I read that in that case the Thai has to show the savings or income. What if he cant?
Answer summary
When applying for a Non-O Marriage Visa in Thailand, foreign women married to Thai men do not typically need to provide financial proof. Most commenters confirm that they, or their partners, have not been required to show income or savings during the application or renewal process. However, it is noted that the specific requirements can vary depending on the immigration office. In cases where the Thai husband cannot demonstrate financial stability, there are alternative solutions such as using the wife's income, depositing savings into a joint account, or even applying for a different visa type like the Retirement Visa if eligible. Overall, the expectation is that the Thai spouse will be the primary provider.

Married to a Thai 5 years and he has never had to show any proof of funds of any kind.
I'm a western woman married to a Thai man. I've been here on a marriage extension for 5 years and never have then asked my husband for any proof of income or savings. Neither have they asked me. It's not required if it's a foreign woman married to a Thai man.
I think the information may be wrong. A male foreigner married with Thai female getting a non O visa needs to show 400,000baht in Thai bank. Its therefore logical that a female foreigner marrying a Thai male national should have to show the 400,000 baht
Kev Raymond been here 5 years and they don't even ask the man Thai husband about how much he makes ect. They just assume he makes enough money to care for me
the information is not wrong. In Thai society the man is expected to care for his wife. Therefore a foreign woman is not required to show proof of finances.
careful. In this case yes because it's specifically mentioned that the Thai is male. But if it's a Thai woman and foreign woman, proof of finances is still required.
We did the Non O Marriage visa in thailand as Thai man and spanish wife and no financial requierement is needed neither in Bangkok or Mae Hong Son province where we did it. No income proof was needed for her.
Tauan Allemagna neither in Khon Kaen. They did not even ask my husband what he did for work or how much he makes every month. I think they just assume that he makes enough to care for me
At Thai embassies, they may require proof of finances. I'm not sure about that.
Inside of Thailand there is no financial requirement for a foreign woman married to Thai man. All the paperwork is the same, she just won't need to provide any bank statements or any proof of income.
