Hey everyone. I am on ED visa (thai language) at the moment and planning to get a DTV visa after. Are there any potential difficulties I might run into because of previous ED visa?
Answer summary
When transitioning from an ED (Education) visa to a DTV (Digital Nomad) visa in Thailand, you may encounter issues if rules related to your ED visa are not followed. Ensure you properly cancel your ED visa/extension upon finishing your course, as ignoring regulations could lead to complications during your immigration process. If you've adhered to your ED visa's terms and acquired the necessary stamps and documentation, you should not face significant challenges. However, it's important to be aware that immigration personnel may communicate in Thai, which could be a concern for non-native speakers.

I doubt you are in Thailand during the first 90 days you got with this visa at entry or conversion.
Im sure you have a big stamp in your passport with the text "Extension of Stay permitted up to xx/xx/xx" which you got at local Immigration Office.
OR by sending your passport to the school who took care for you.
IF you follow the rules and regulations of this Extension of Stay, there are no problems.
If you ignore them, there are consequenses.
Immigration at entry might speak in Thai language as they can see that you followed a Thai language course for long term. You might see that as a problem.
