TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation centers around the possibility of obtaining a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) through language schools in the Asoke area. It highlights differing opinions, with some members stating that embassies generally do not accept language studies for a DTV. Alternatives like the Education Visa (ED) are suggested as more suitable for learning Thai. Various members discuss their experiences with specific language schools and weigh the pros and cons of different visa types in relation to studying the Thai language.

Why so many negative comments?!. And many of them are just wrong.

There's a commercial building on soi 13, 100 meters from sukhumvit, that has a couple of language schools on the second floor. I attended one (emerald global), but already had a dtv so didnt need them for the visa. The other school, not sure of the name but right next door, does the dtv. I met people who had had success. Good luck.

And what language do you like to learn for the period of 5 years?

And why did you change from the cooking school in Pattaya?

Get the correct visa this time, it saves a lot of hassle.

Then just get a 6 month visa, ED or just METV.

DTV not matches your purpose of visit.

i been over so much they stopped me when I came in on a 6 month visa last year and you still have to leave and come back so dtv is easier as you get 6 months in country

METV you indeed have to leave and come back, but with ED that is not necessary, and it is just made for learning Thai, so it matches exactly your purpose of stay.

DTV is not the correct visa for a 6 months Thai language study.

issue with the ed is I've been told it isnt multi entry so its hard to leave thailand and re enter also the cost is similar to the dtv

One moment you say ED is difficult to leave and re-enter, the other moment you say METV needs you to leave and return during the 6 months Thai training and that is a disadvantage.

So when you want to get out during the 6 months Thai training get METV, when you want to stay in the whole 6 months just get ED.

Seems very simple to me.

Please go for the correct option in stead of easy to keep being illegal.

You should know as you are already stopped and interviewed on entry.

I never stated that it was illegal to get the DTV based on softpower.

You change your study mission based on the cheapest option to get doucments to apply for this DTV.

Which for me indicates you are not interested in learning to cook or the language or doing another course.

BUT totally your choice.

Currently most of embassies do not accept langauge school for DTV. if study language you go get education visa. Thai cooking and Thai boxing is for sure now under dtv soft power
