TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around personal experiences with house visits for a marriage visa in Thailand. Various participants shared their experiences, noting that the inspection can vary significantly by location and immigration office. Some reported minimal interaction, with officials only taking photos outside or in one or two rooms, while others described more thorough inspections involving multiple room checks and photo documentation. The consensus is that experiences differ widely, and it's advisable to be prepared for any scenario.
Varies depending on your immigration office. Mine (living in Sakon Nakhon) came 1 day after I got the extension, and not only did they check every room, but they had me, my spouse, and our witnesses take photos standing in all rooms (unbelievable joke, but TIT 🤷🏻♂️)
