Hi everyone, looking for advice from anyone who’s had a DTV rejected through the Thai Embassy in London, then successfully reapplied.
I applied under the freelance/workation category and my partner under Muay Thai. Both applications were rejected. We believed we met all the requirements and had a Thai lawyer check our documents before submitting.
My partner’s balance dipped slightly below the 500,000 baht requirement for three days before we topped it back up, before submitting. He also has a driving conviction from last year, with the ban and penalties now completed. Could either of these have contributed to his rejection?
My own funds stayed above the threshold. I run an online fitness business and supplied evidence of my business, income and paying clients. They requested additional documents, which I provided, so I’m unsure what went wrong with mine.
My partner wasn’t asked for anything further—his application went straight to pending decision, then rejection.
Has anyone managed to find out why they were rejected, or successfully applied a second time? What did you change or provide when reapplying?
Any firsthand experiences would be really appreciated. Thank you!
