DTV application rejected: should I reapply, and how much does the refusal affect future applications?
Hi everyone,
I recently applied for a Thai DTV by myself, but the application was rejected after 2 rounds of requests for additional supporting documents (that I provided of course).
On paper, my application seemed solid. I have a high and regular income, and I provided all the documents they requested. Unfortunately, I was not given any explanation for the refusal, so I have no idea what the issue was or what I should correct.
I am planning to live in Thailand for at least one year, possibly longer, so I am now trying to understand my next steps.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
* Is it worth submitting a new DTV application, or is a second application likely to be rejected automatically?
* Should I wait before reapplying? If so, how long?
* How seriously is a previous rejection recorded or flagged in the Thai immigration or e-Visa system?
* Could the refusal affect applications submitted through a different Thai embassy or consulate?
* Is there any realistic way to obtain the exact reason for the rejection?
* Would you recommend using a visa agent or lawyer before applying again?
I would really appreciate feedback from people who have reapplied successfully after a DTV rejection, or from professionals familiar with how these refusals are handled.
