TLDR : Answer Summary
The question revolves around the financial requirements for obtaining a Thai visa through educational activities such as learning Thai or practicing Muay Thai. Various responses clarify that instead of needing 15,000 USD, applicants must have an equivalent of 500,000 THB in their bank account. Additionally, it is highlighted that income sources may also need to be verified. Some commenters mention that studying Thai language could lead to different visa types, such as an ED (Education) visa or METV (Multiple Entry Tourist Visa), and that learning Thai is not regarded as a 'soft power' activity.

Learning thai they would give you ED or METV. Finnish embassy gives normal TR for study thai, not even ED

Yes, you need 500K THB and that's not 15K USD as per current conversion.

You can still be asked for income sources and how you are planning to sustain yourself etc.

Please try and research a little more.
