What visa options are available for my girlfriend visiting Thailand while I'm on a work permit?

Hello,

I know maybe this is something that everyone knows but if someone can help me with it will be appreciated.

I am living here in Thailand with a one year work permit, then I have everything in order for myself, but my girlfriend was to come and I don't know exactly what she needs, she won't have a job then I imagine is the normal tourist visa but I don't know how many months she can stay (she wants to be here at least 3 months) and how many times she can renew the visa living here with me.

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster seeks advice on visa options for their girlfriend, who wants to visit Thailand for at least three months. They mention she won't have a job, so they are considering a tourist visa. A comment clarifies that without marriage, she cannot use the poster's work visa and suggests a tourist visa for 60 days plus a 30-day extension, or potentially an Ed visa for learning Thai.

As you are not married she can’t piggyback off of your visa. Options are a tourist visa for 60 days + 30 day extension or look into some other extension like an Ed visa for learning Thai.

thanks then from the start she can ask for a 60 day visa? Does she needs something like a insurance or any other COVID test (she has 2 or 3 shots I don't know now)... If she goes out from Thailand, to Cambodia or Vietnam the visa need to be issued again how works this? Thanks!

depends on nationality. What passport does she hold?

She can get a tourist visa in Spain good for 60+30 days. If she were to leave and come back she could either apply for a tourist visa again or enter visa exempt and get 30 days + 30 extension. Land borders there’s a limit of 2 per calendar year for exempt entries.

All foreigners currently need a ThailandPass and that requires insurance and vaccination status.
