AUSTRALIAN INFO:

I have some questions, NZ Citizen (NZ Passport), Aus Permanent Resident.

I am considering going to BKK for a Vasectomy Appointment. Will be one Appointment but can book in follow up Appointments x4.

My Questions for anyone that has applied from Aus.

1. What is the waiting time?

2. How many months previous bank statements were required?

3. How was the overall application process?

4. For medical applicants, how much documentation did you have to provide? Is confirmation of medical appointment enough, or do you need X amount of appointments?

I have used the search engine but nothing specific has been shown.

Any other Aussies with experience, feel free to drop a comment or DM.

Thanks to all in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
An NZ citizen and Australian permanent resident is inquiring about the visa application requirements for traveling to Thailand for a vasectomy appointment. They seek information about waiting times, the number of months of previous bank statements needed, the overall application process, and the documentation required for medical applicants, emphasizing the sufficiency of a medical appointment confirmation. Community comments include humor, personal experiences with similar processes, and tips on documentation.

Search Australia. I posted my experience which covers most of this. All of them have definitely been covered

How much is a vasectomy? My application is still pending but I just used a proof of funds certificate from my bank that shows the current balance. Very easy to get just requested the the banking app and received instantly.

from my primitive research between 15.000 - 30.000 Thb. I am yet to do "boots on the ground" research. I am expecting around the 30-50k mark, as I will contact multiple hospitals as I am going to ask for an initial appointment/procedure with additional follow ups at

/180days.

I think that this should be more than sufficient for DTV and more than enough for the procedure, medically speaking.

yeah copy. You know it's only like $400 in Australia. I paid $580 for a month Muay Thai course which (hopefully) was enough for the DTV.

yeah, but after seeing 2 urologists, they are hesitant/non-cooperative due to age/marital/childfree status.

I have looked at MT as an entry pathway, but I cannot see myself going through with the training.

Also, if/when the rules change, I can book more appointments with the vasectomy clinic when ever needed as "checkups" to make sure still shooting blanks.

I see this as mitigating risk if the rules change and future proofing.

ok got ya. Have been considering getting it done for years now. 40, no kids, don't want to make a mistake now after all the luck I've had hahaha.

Also the application process was very easy I had it done in less than an hour. Just ensure all the documents are in order and in PDF or JPEG. All mine were screenshots and unable to upload so I had to convert them all to PDF.
