How can I apply for a Thai visa through the medical route for ongoing cardiology treatment?

Thinking about applying through the medical route, appreciate any help.

I need ongoing cardiology/pathology appointments and checkups for a pre-exisiting chronic genetic condition, so this could be a good option for me.

Anyone applied through this route successfully with the London embassy? I'm back in the UK atm.

Thinking about booking future appointment for my condition with a Bangkok hospital and using that, thoughts? Don't want to waste £s with an app that could get rejected. Some people said they presented treatment plans? not sure how that would work if you haven't yet had the initial consultation

Thanks for any help

ok thanks for the info. I’m trying to get the visa done before I leave the uk again. If I have to get the initial consult in Thailand guess I will have to go apply for the visa in a nearby country.

If you are open to applying from a nearby country, maybe consider Jakarta. I successfully applied there based on an appointment at a hospital in Bangkok for consultation regarding a pre-existing condition. I understand that at least one other person has documented a similar application. Good 🤞

thanks that sounds good, so you just had a single appointment for a consultation and they approved you on that basis?

Anonymous participant Yes, that's right. I also had a letter from my doctor confirming a pre-existing condition. From reading through past threads, Jakarta is relatively straightforward.

thanks for the info appreciated , did the hospital have to send you a stamped letter via the post?

So you arranged all the future appointments at one time?
