What are the validity dates on a 60-day tourist visa for Thailand, and when do I need to enter the country?

Ci Rob while you are right, it actually the fact that if you ask for a second 30 day extention, it get denied, but you are given 7 days extension to give you time to leve the country without any overstay

Vito Ef different immigration offices have different requirements .ie... krabi will only do the extension within the last 15 days of the visa exempt.... chiang mai will do it within your last 45 days!!!! (At least this was the case last year).

Krabi is very easy and they'll complete all your paperwork, chiang mai (for me at least) was harder work...so I guess it depends on where your immigration office is
