I have a multi entry 6 month tourist Visa that is up in January. As I understand I need to leave the country every 60 days. This is the first time I have gotten this Visa. So I had a couple questions.
First, when leaving every 60 days is it like I did before like a Visa run or visit a neighboring country for a few days and come back?
Second, being a multi entry I was told I can basically come and go from Thailand until my Visa expires in January. Is this the general understanding?
And last for now. When I'm coming back I'm not getting a new Visa, right? Just meeting the requirements for this visa.
Thanks for the help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
With a multi-entry 6-month tourist visa for Thailand, you have unlimited entries for the visa's validity period, which lasts 6 months from issuance. You are allowed to stay for 60 days with each entry, after which you can either do a visa run (exit and re-enter Thailand or visit a neighboring country) or apply for a 30-day extension at the immigration office. As long as you return before the visa's expiration date, you will be stamped in again for another 60 days without needing to obtain a new visa.
A 6 month multi-entry tourist visa is good for unlimited entries for the validity of the visa (6 months from the date it's issued). Every time you come in you get stamped in for 60 days. When that stamp is expiring you can
1 - go to the border, stamp out of thailand, stamp in and out of another country and stamp right back into thailand to get another 60 day stamp (there is no rule about how long you must stay out of thailand so you can come right back in)
OR
2 - go to the immigration office and apply for a 30 day extension for 1900baht if you wanted to.
As long as you enter the country prior to the 'enter before' date on the visa itself you'll be stamped in for 60 days.
Most people on that visa get about 9 months of stay in country out of it
