TLDR : Answer Summary
To renew your Thailand marriage visa, you need to show at least 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account under your name for 2 months prior to your visa application. You can either use bank statements or provide proof of a minimum income of 40,000 THB per month. The renewal process will take some time, and once you apply, you will receive a 30-day stamp allowing you to stay while your application is under consideration. If you wish to leave Thailand during this 30-day period, you must purchase a re-entry permit. Note that this re-entry permit is only valid for the duration of the 30 days, and the renewal of your visa is a yearly process that requires submitting updated documents annually.

First off, let's try to get your terminology back on point so people know what you're talking about

You can't get a year long, VISA inside thailand based on marriage, period, end of story.

You BUY year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas based on marriage from a thai consulate in another country <- and on that visa you bounce out and back every 90 days for the validity of the visa

INSIDE the country at the immigration office you get a yearly extension of stay by meeting the proof of funds requirements and turning in the documents needed.

Think of it like this, a yearly extension of stay is good for a year, then you apply for a totally NEW one, EVERY year, year after year. So every year you turn in the same pile 'o documents as you did the year before (just new updated ones as needed).

AND as people pointed out to you the 400K baht needs to be in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the extension (not before the extension expires :O)

When you apply for the new yearly extension you will get a 30 day under consideration stamp <- if you need to leave the country during that 30 days you need to buy a re-entry permit (which is good ONLY for that 30 day period).

Once that 30 days is over depending on the immigration office you use you update your bank book to show you still have the 400K baht in the bank and go in to get the year extension inked in. THEN you also need to buy a new re-entry permit (if you're going to leave the country during the year) and that re-entry permit will be valid for the whole year.

Yes mate .. need to do same process again .. all paperwork ... 400.000 in bank in your name 2 months prior plus leave for 1 month after ... the day you apply they give you 30 days stamp to come back for extension stamp .. can travel during this time but need re-entry permit ., must go to immigration in person to finalise extension and show bank book .. this is what CW required ... your wife must go with you for initial application .. all the best

I think you can buy re-entry permit with any kind of "allowed to stay" stamp

But you have to buy it before going abroad

As you ask to renew, I guess you went last year to immigration and got a stamp like this example.

For finances you still need at least 2 months prior the application date a minimum of 400.000 Thb in a Thai bank account on your name if you like to use banked money.

Alternative is monthly income of minimum 40.000 Thb.

Yes, you visit the Immigration office and apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay. Nothing changed, so should be same documents as last year, but you might visit and ask the hand out with requirements to be sure.

It will go 30 days under consideration and if you like to travel during these 30 days discuss this with the officer at application. a House visit is possible and it would be nice if you both are at home during this check.
