When renewing the Marriage visa they stamp you for one month and ask you to come back to get the full year stamp. During that one month do you need keep the full 400k in the bank or can it be reduced?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing a Marriage visa in Thailand, you're typically given a one-month stamp while waiting for the full-year stamp. During this one-month period, it is generally advisable to keep the full 400,000 THB in your bank account, although specific requirements may vary by immigration office. In places like Chaeng Wattana, it is crucial to maintain this balance and have updated bank book documentation for your next visit. Some offices might enforce different rules, so it's essential to check locally for any additional requirements.

Do not spend any of the 400,000 until you have the one year stamp in your passport.

Bring the passbook updated to show immigration if asked.

The rule is 2 months before the submission, some offices ask for it addtinally to k

Be kept for the 30 day consideration period. Prachinburi for extension for a Thai wife asked me to keep 2 months before 3 months after. Its worth checking locally.

with the marriage extension married to a Thai...

There is no three month afterwards required to keep the 400,000 in the bank. (thats required for the 800,000 Retiree)

Its only until the usual UNDER CONSIDERATION period has ended...

Which is usually one month.

there at Prachinburi when I did my extension. Local offices have thier on rules, people should be made aware of it.

, at the same Prachin Buri office they do not ask me for keeping the 400k during the consideration period. But they study my bank book very carefully every year.

If it's Chaeng Wattana, you need to keep it in and show them the book again updated on the day you return for the full stamp.

2 months they told me.

Bangkok CW, marriage.

You’ll certainly need to keep it in if you go to Chaeng Wattana offices .

That depends on the immigration office, however I recommend not touching the money until the stamp is closed out.
