Hi All,

New in the group here, hope some one can help. I am UK based and in the process of opening my limited company and hoping to move to Thailand in September with a DTV. It will be me and my spouse (civil partners) who for the moment won't be working. Questions:

1)do we need to show a total of 1M baht or only 500,000 baht will do it?

2)would it be wiser to include my spouse name in my limited company (as if we were working on the same on line business)?

3)roughly how long is the process doing it from the UK?

4)if my partner applies via a course/arts/muay thai etc. how does this work, as obviously the course won't be five years

5)my business will be e-commerce. As a proof shall I just show a bunch of on line stores URLs?

Guys thank you all very much. We have decided to convert our civil partnership into marriage to simplify. things. I still want to avoid including him in the business to avoid his future teachers pension to be affected (tax wise)

Have a partnership for business, and both apply as the same. But 500k each. Any other way you will have issues I think. Don’t do “soft” for your partner if not legally married as you will struggle in the future.

I mean, of course you would include your spouse in your business information. You could split your online work

fot the 500k you can apply first then after approval you can move tge money to your partner and start new application

Thai Embassy in London approves fast often within 5 business days. If your partner applies via a course, to extend her stay at immigration needs to show evidence of continued activity, residency and 500K THB that has been banked for 30 days.

If you are not married she is not your spouse so each will need to apply in their own right

You say civil partner are you legally married?

If not you will both have to apply separately and nit be able to use a dependent option.

If that is the case you should def both be on there as owners and can use same business to apply under If you go working route.

If going soft power for ine work for other it dosnt matter .

Many mua thai guns offer a 5 year membership special for dtv as well.
