Just failed in my attempt to get DTV in Vientiane based on medical.

I have the appointment for surgery booked for end of October, but they also required booking confirmation of all the follow up appointments.

Sorry to hear. Did you get the 10,000 TBH back?
Andi ***********
@Sara *****
He was rejected at the application desk so did not have to pay.
Brian ********
Sorry to hear that.

Mine was approved on the basis of a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon. I did however also provide additional medical evidence, such as diagnostic tests and neurological report. No follow appt required.
Jack *******
That just sounds right. Taipei is giving out DTV for 5Y for whitening teeth in one sitting šŸ¤¦šŸ½

Get a doctor assistant to make you a variety of appointments, whether you show or not will be another thing

What do you mean by "based on medical"?

I think šŸ¤” maybe he is referring to one of the possible options of the new DTV which seems like its for education medical support of education muay Thai and culture learning plan per say?

@Ron *******
exactly šŸ‘

Thatā€™s crazy, I submitted a quote from my dentist in Thailand and thatā€™s all I did and it was accepted

age probably helped

@Ron *******
are you saying Iā€™m old? šŸ˜³ļæ¼

@Klee *************
Sorry to ask but what kind of treatment do you have?
Klee **************
@Djamal *******
I have a bunch of old crowns that need to be replaced, plus a panoramic, x-ray, plus a cleaning, plus a checkup of course, all submitted on letterhead from my dentist, Iā€™ve already seen that Dentist before so I have a relationship with that clinic

Of course you need a proposed treatment plan and associated booked or proposed dates of further treatments. Spend less time rushing to get the visa and more time planning and providing a series of documents that legitimize your reason for the visa.

when the embassy in Vientiane supply me with this when i asked in advance for their requirements, i should be able to rely on it's accuracy, they request a letter of appointment not multiple appointments. So please take your attitude elsewhere.
Wannikea *********
@Phil ******
and did you get a letter from your doctor outlining a treatment plan and resubmit?
Sefton ********
@Wannikea ********
not sure about 'of course' I read someone got one for a single eye appointment.

So it looks variable at least.
Klee **************
@Sefton *******
I got mine with a single quote from my dentist in Hua Hin ļæ¼

A two-day cooking course pulls up a five year visa!

Thanks for sharing

That is a bit iffy. I had surgery in Bumrungrad last year and they only gave 1 follow up appointment and next was made at that visit. This was over 6 months of monthly visits.
Upasaka ********
@Greg *******
Yes,

It is also very clear that the official documents state appointment and Not appointmentsļæ¼
Ivan ************
@Gr**
that's the norm in my experience as well, follow ups are made after each subsequent visit, even if you're going to be going back to them for years. They don't necessarily know you front how exactly your condition is going to evolve or what's going to be necessary.
Andi ***********
Did you lose the application fee?
Phil *******

@Andi **********
no they rejected my application at document check.

@Phil ******
hate paying for expensive visas upfront or online not knowing if you could get rejection refund or roped into more cost to complete !!!

Find a small doctor and as his secretary all in Thai thru Google translate if she can type doctor signed note with all follow up appt or go back or call original med facilities you used

I woulda thought you could solve that fairly easy then give back documents to try again ?
Klee **************
You can always switch to "soft power activities", that is what I did
Andi ***********
@Phil ******
can you get more appointments, info from your clinic?
Phil *******

@Andi **********
hopefully they'll give me a letter confirming the 1 week, 1 3 and 6 month follow ups.
Andi ***********
@Phil ******
good, that should work
