Just for info. Just went immigration in Nakhon Ratchasima to collect my 11 month extension on my marriage visa after they gave me 1 month when applied.

Everyone told me to not touch the 400 in the bank until the 11 month was approved which was new as I always started spending it.

Wasn’t asked to prove the 400 was still there. Just gave me the extension.

Maybe just Nakhon Ratchasima

All good.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully obtained an 11-month extension on their marriage visa in Nakhon Ratchasima without needing to provide proof of funds in their bank account. They were advised to not touch the required 400,000 THB until the extension was approved, but were not asked to present any documentation regarding this amount during the application process. Comments from others indicate varying experiences across different immigration offices in Thailand regarding these requirements.

I only had a visit the first year.

I wasn't asked to come back with my bank book when I obtained my yearly extension stamp ( marriage basis ) at Chiang Mai IO and my consideration period was 40 days . However a friend who applied for his first Non O Visa extension ( marriage ) was asked to.

it seems that the home visit is up to the individual immigration office. Bangkok wasn't doing it for years and years, but now they do when they issue 90day Non-O visas in country (even for retirement) AND they do it for most yearly extensions based on marriage and raising kids.

IF they didn't tell you when you applied for the yearly extension that you needed to update your bank book and bring it back when the 30 day under consideration period was up you didn't need to.

Only SOME offices tell people to do that.
