I am applying for a Marraige Visa renewal, I use the 400k baht deposit route. On initial application last year I had 400k deposited 60 days prior to applying. Is it the same for renewals, I have read somewhere that renewal requires 90 days prior to applying.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Marriage Visa renewal in Thailand, the requirement is to have 400,000 baht deposited in a bank account for a minimum of 2 calendar months before the application. It's important to note that each year's application is considered a new application for an Extension of Stay, not a renewal. Additionally, it’s advisable to check with your local Immigration Office for any recent changes in requirements.

Check with your Immigration Office if there is anything new. I went to the Office in Maha Sarakham to renew mine for the 3d year. They got a new boss and they required a few more items then last year.

You are not renewing anything (and certainly not a Visa). It is a new application for an Extension of Stay (based on marriage) just as the previous year.

Every year is a new application, not a renewal. So yes you need the money in your account for 2 calendar months before applying

Retirement is also 2 months (unless the 90 day rule is specific to one Immigration Office)

Sorry my bad, 60 days before and 90 days after, the money has to stay in the bank.

not 60 days. 2 months. And 3 months after, not 90 days.
