What are the requirements for applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand if my business is only 6 months old?

I’ve lived in Thailand for 6 months on an Edvisa. I have 6 months left but the goal is secure a DTV. I am in the process of opening my own business in the US and I’m wondering what information is required? By the time I apply for the DTV my business will only be 6 months old. Is tax information required? Anyone apply within the first year of business? Any info. Would help. Thank you 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on an Edvisa and seeks to transition to a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) while in the process of starting a business in the US, which will only be six months old by the time of the application. They inquire about the necessary information and documents required for the DTV application, particularly regarding tax information and the implications of applying within the first year of business.

It’s a catch 22 situation for applications such as this, because you would technically be in breach of your current visa. You can’t work remotely on an ED visa, so starting and running a business while here and not doing anything else won’t be an issue, but moving forward it possibly might and while only a very small chance, the way Thailand works you just never know what they will do.

The requirements are very clearly marked on the Thai embassy website.

Depends where you apply. Search the embassy name and approval posts for a related situation and see what others have had to provide.
