TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers arriving in Bangkok from the UK can obtain a 60-day visa exempt stamp, which can be extended for an additional 30 days at local immigration offices like Jomtien. It's important to have a return flight ticket ready, as some airlines may require it for boarding. Extensions should be applied for within the last 7 days of the initial 60-day period, with the fee being around 1900 baht. Additionally, travelers should verify their travel insurance policies in relation to trip duration limits.

If you have travel insurance then check the small print with regard to return tickets.
Good point Ralph. Many travel insurance companies have a 31 day per trip limit. If you entered Thailand without a return/onward ticket booked for within 31 days you wouldn’t have any cover whatsoever.
You've obviously read my post, so what you say is irrelevant to my past experiences. Some people on Sadbook, just like ridiculing others comments. Looks like your one of those people. Gone to Thailand, married a Thai and your now an expert on everything, except how Thailand really works.
To be honest, I don't take much notice of anything all the so called farang experts living in Thailand say. Farangs are all visitors in Thailand , apart from the few hundred that have permanent residency, so I don't know why farang visitors are on FB (Sadbook) trying to put every farang bang to rights. All I know is the eleven years I stayed in Isaan previously, I didn't, apart from on four occasions have any issues with immigration.
