Can I extend my 30-day visa-exempt stay in Thailand without leaving the country?

Hi, I am looking for some advice. I have looked through posts but can't seem to find an answer, although I am sure it's a simple one. I am currently on a visa-exempt (30 days/Uk citizen) and looking to stay for an extra 2-3 weeks.

My first question, is it possible to extend the exemption without having to leave the country, and if so, for how long can it be extended?

Second question, if it is possible, where can I do this in Bangkok?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen on a visa-exempt entry can extend their stay for an additional 30 days without leaving Thailand. The extension can be applied for at the IT Square Laksi office in Bangkok. It's advisable to check the specific requirements, as additional documents may be requested by the office.

do you have to go to Bangkok or can do somewhere near Pattaya? Is it easier to hire an agent to do it and do you know what that costs roughly?

you go to the immigration in the province you're staying in. Every province in Thailand has an immigration office. If you're in Pattaya then the closest office is probably Jomtien. But they only allow you to go during your last week to apply for a tourist extension at that office.

A visa exempt entry is valid for a one time 30-day extension. You can apply at the office IT Square Laksi in Bangkok. I've attached the common list of requirements but each office may add additional items.

Sorry,
@Bra****
. Just one other question. Is the 30 day extension added to the date it's due to expire or the date you go to immigration? Just trying to figure out if I need to plan the date I go to extend.

Advise you to make an appointment. Saves you waiting. Get there at least 20 mins before your booking as there are three forms to complete and there's a shop right next door to get your photo taken
