I tried several Bangkok banks on my own. You Will get rejected or they may try to get you to buy an insurance policy for 5900 or 2000 baht for an embassy letter. The headache, the stress and cost worth it? Not to mention the taxi rides trying to do it on your own. The cost adds up. I ended up contacting
in Chiang Mai. Siri also got me a driver license good for two years. She made it simple and saved me money.

Jason Guitard no problem. just trying to help as ouch it sucked doing it on my own. I also will be applying for a one year visa soon so smart to get this stuff done.
Yes, different branches require different things. Don't let them push you around. Keep looking until you find one that will work with you or show them their own account opening requirements. You will also want to get an account with a bank that allows 50000 baht tranfers from Wise. Bangkok Bank, Kasithorn and SCB do. I went to two Bangkok banks and they wanted a letter from my Embassy, which is a valid document but not the only one that would work. Then another one wanted a letter from the Tourist Police. NOT even a requirement but easier than a letter from the embassy and time was of the essence. The one in the mall said a letter from my wife would be enough but it was flooded so go figure. If they bitch, ask them if they want you to call headquarters. Maybe that will get their attention. Or you could show them this. Also available in Thai:

I used Bangkok bank, different branches may require different things. If i remember correctly I had to get a letter from immigration which I did through ABC visa services for 1000 baht. The letter, condo lease form, and passport is all I required if i remember correctly. Pop in to a couple of branches and ask them, whichever gives you the easiest way use that one. Itโs easier than most people think on a tourist visa.
