TLDR : Answer Summary
If you test positive for COVID-19 before your flight to the UK, you may not be permitted to fly until you can present a negative test. In Thailand, a negative result is typically required for boarding, and quarantine may be necessary until you test negative again. It's also worth noting that positive PCR tests can remain for several weeks even after recovery, so obtaining a recovery certificate may be advisable. Mandatory health insurance is recommended to cover potential quarantine costs. Further complications may arise related to visa durations if you exceed your limit while in quarantine.
90 days is about the maximum, you can also test negative after 10 days. The average is 3-4 weeks but you probably want to look into a certificate of recovery.
No idea about the UK but you would get out in Thailand after a -Ve test in Thailand. I think there is usually a gap between having a _ve test before indicating +ve. Having said that I saw an Infectious disease Specialist at Bumrungrad after I had Covid in November. He said he has had pilots and other aircrew stuck for months as countries like China will not let them back until a negative test :-)
