so , if I understand corectly -and prior to my flight to Bangkok I need a Thailand Pass QR code (? ) , documents that I am insured for $100,000 ( where do I get that ? ) + a very expensive designated hotel for 1 night where I will be tested ; results the next day ....is that correct ?
That means that I will not make it to my connecting flight the next morning to Krabi ?
pff, I don't know if I am the only one here but its getting pretty anoying . KLM cancelled my flight twice already , forcing me to cancel reservations and purchased twice a new ticket to Krabi . and now for the 3rd time ? For many years I enjoy the hotels in the Lat Krabing aerea next to the airport : great choice in great hotels for around 1000 Bath, perfect for 1 night before taking my connecting flight . A nice start of my holliday , for years , but now I am forced to stay in one of the overpriced hotels far away from the airport Not nice . Nobody knows how covid develops in the weeks ahead but the pre-fun is gone . I am curious to hear your experiences , tips and suggestions .
TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers to Thailand must obtain a Thailand Pass QR code before their flight, provide proof of health insurance covering at least $50,000, and book a designated hotel for at least one night where they will undergo a PCR test. This may cause issues for connecting flights, especially if they are scheduled for the following day, as processing times can be unpredictable. Recommendations suggest allowing extra time and being aware of the restrictions, including potential changes in policies due to COVID-19.
