TLDR : Answer Summary
Insurance options like AXA Sawasdee Thailand and LUMA Tune Thailand cover COVID-19 cases that test positive without symptoms, particularly in terms of hospital admissions. However, coverage for hotel quarantine is more limited, with many policies not paying for isolation in hotels, focusing instead on hospitals or hospitels. It is essential for expats in Thailand to understand each policy's specifics regarding asymptomatic cases and quarantine provisions, as well as to keep documentation for claims.
I think people need to be aware that although axa sawadee will pay for hospital admission for asymptomatic they will not cover if you get put into a hotel AQ to do the quarantine
I tested positive on 30th Dec at bang Lamung Hospital.when I went to hospital on 2nd Jan to do other tests before quarantine they asked was I going to quarantine in hospital or at quarantine Hotel. I said hotel and they asked for

baht. I kept the receipt and contacted my insurance in UK called All Clear insurance. Told then the situation and they said to keep all documentation and receipts for payment. I have since then email all documents to them and waiting or contact back from them. I waited until I was back in the UK on 21st Jan so today I will contact them direct on the phone to see how my claim is progressing
