Hey guys any pros vs cons for selecting the “soft power” category for the DTV visa vs the digital nomad category? Prefer to keep my work stuff and employment info private if the visas are exactly the same. It’s showing 2 DTV categories 1 for digital nomads and 1 for soft power activities such as medical which I am also eligible for. Will the one I select matter?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the choice between the 'soft power' and 'digital nomad' categories of the DTV visa in Thailand. Concerns include the privacy of work-related information and the significance of the category selection. Commenters suggest waiting for more clarity on the visa processes and recommend selecting the category that aligns with intended activities.
I just spoke with Thai Visa Centre 3 min ago, they confirmed you can bounce 180 days x 10. They are the owners of this group (you can see their name on the banner above). If you msg them on Line app they will confirm it.
I'm not sure, but I think only once at the beginning since the visa have 5 years validity. It would be weird to ask it with every extension when you can just border bounce instead and at the border they do not ask for such things ever. We will have to wait for royal gazette for more precise details tho.
You should perhaps wait some days, before it is totally up and running, and details are known, and the embassies update their webpages and their staff to answer questions.
Embassies are different and have different staff, but those I have been in contact with, has always been kind and helpful.
Sometimes it can be rewarding to check different embassy websites, to get information, especialy when a new rule is coming in effect, and it is different, how quick the different embassies update their websites.
