Hello! I'm currently on an ED visa for internship (3 months limit) but with the 12 days quarantine I will pass the 3 months limit of internship. Also I would like to stay a month after my internship to visit the country. So I will need a 60 days extension for my visa. My question is: I've seen that there is a "covid extension" does this extension work with an ED visa? Also I've seen that te limit is on May 31st BUT they keep extend the amnisty since April 2020 so, does someone has information about another extend of this amnisty? One last question is the process sure? I mean is there any risk that this extension can be refused?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on an ED visa for internship and is facing issues due to a 12-day quarantine that exceeds the 3-month limit for the internship. They seek information on whether the COVID-19 extension applies to their ED visa and if the amnesty may be extended. Responses indicate that it is possible to get a 60-day extension due to COVID-19 with specific requirements, but the process may vary by immigration office and carries some risk of denial.

Alright then I guess this is the best option even if it's still not sure to be extended 🤷‍♂️ Thank you very much for all these informations! Have a nice day

The only thing you can do is try to get the extension of stay

you mean the covid extension? Because I cannot extend an ED visa without furnishing the WP3 form and I prefer not to ask the employer for this.

Good Luck...

Follow the advice of Ben.

Get the COVID EXTENSION.

For getting this 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19; Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy saying they don’t issue the letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

> will pass the 3 months limit of internship

Internships are a type of employment. You *CAN NOT* work on a COVID-19 extension.

>My question is: I've seen that there is a "covid extension" does this extension work with an ED visa

You can get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 from an ED visa.

>Also I've seen that te limit is on May 31st BUT

The last day to apply for this extension of stay is May 29

>does someone has information about another extend of this amnisty?

There has been no announcements about an extension yet

> I mean is there any risk that this extension can be refused?

There has been reports of people being verbally denied this extension of stay, and it *IS* an optional extension and the immigration office does not *HAVE* to issue it.
