What are the implications of re-entering Thailand after reaching 85 days in the past 180 days?

I have added up my days in Thailand over the past 180 and having entered four times I will be at 85 when I leave this week. I want to re enter in three weeks which would put me over the 90 in 180. Is this a consideration for the Immigration officers?

I won’t be back in the UK (my home country) to apply for a multiple entry visa . Any advice appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about exceeding the 90 days in a 180-day period due to their travel schedule in Thailand. After making multiple entries, they currently have 85 days and plan to re-enter shortly after leaving. Community comments suggest that as long as the user appears to be a genuine tourist and has proper documentation, they may not face issues. However, there are varying opinions about the frequency of entries, immigration officer scrutiny, and the implications of border runs, emphasizing the importance of having accommodations, onward flights, and sufficient funds ready.

There is no such rule.. It's all about border runs and extensions not cumulative days...

It’s unclear to me exactly what you’re saying but if I understand correctly, you should be fine. In and out is usually fine. What immigration is looking for is those who are not real tourists. Some stay 60 plus 30 ( days ) leave to do a border run and repeat. That’s what was announced last November.

As long as you’re not a mercenary , call center scammer or a human trafficker , you’ll be fine.

Let us know if you have any problems. As the other commenter said , make sure you have what’s required for entry. You may be taken for an interview but it’s unlikely

Dan Brown thanks. When she looked at the screen she paused, asked how many days I’m here for and proof on my onward flight. It gave me the impression she was adding them up 🤷🏼🤷🏼

Thanks for the feedback , Danny. I’m currently in Vietnam headed back to Thailand in March. From there , I’m going back to the States in April. Thai immigration officials are being very thorough now and I hope I’m not denied entry. We’ll see what happens when the time comes.

Do you have a DTV and earlier post suggests you applied? If you have a DTV then you should have no problem entering again

week breaks but certainly not abusing the system. Seen the 6 month multiple entry visa but I have to apply for it at home. Not sure how they can tell with it being a digital visa 🤷🏼

Why are entering and leaving so frequently? I'm assuming all your entries were visa exempt so no real way of telling if you will have a problem or not. The number of days is pretty meaningless, it's all about how the immigration officer interprets your stays. At the very least I'd have accommodation booked, a ticket out and 20k baht or equivalent in cash
