What are the forms required for an extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai citizen?

Hi,

I'm about to apply for my 1st year's extension based on marriage to a Thai. When we were at Tor Mor in August we were giving a list of what to take, which is all in Thai. We were also given a couple of printed forms, also in Thai, and my wife is not sure what they are or who needs to fill them in (us, or our witnesses, or the Tor Mor) - Google translate isn't helping, and they have no numbers to be able to Google the forms. Please can someone explain what they are? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification about specific forms received when applying for a 1-year visa extension based on marriage to a Thai. Confusion arises from the forms being in Thai and unclear instructions on who should fill them out. Several commenters provide insights, suggesting that they could be witness statements to confirm the legitimacy of the marriage and cohabitation. Suggestions to contact the local immigration office for clarification and assistance in English are also provided.

Surely your wife can look them over and tell you a little bit about whats written on there and then you can both work out what they are, hard to believe she can read them and still not understand what they are 🤷

they don't make a lot of sense. They're witness statements, and worded like a police interview after a crime, but also questions we would expect them to ask at an interview (eg where we met, did we marry for money, etc). My wife isn't sure who needs to complete them as they're worded like it could be our witnesses need to do it. They're really weird forms and the Thai people who have looked at them are also unclear about them.

that does sound odd. I never needed anything thing like when I did the exact same visa last year.

It’s confusing enough isn’t it, they make so differcult for genuine people 🤷🏻‍♂️. Good luck mate, hope you get sorted. 👍

I don’t remember those forms, I switched to retirement extension a couple years ago. But in the past Korat immigration has been very responsive to email. (In English)

They look like witness statement forms. Which, in your case, would be witnesses to the marriage being genuine and that you’re cohabiting.

From memory using the Samut Prakhan IO, I had a similar form and it was for the wife/ Thai neighbour to fill in to verify that I lived at the house. Also needed their ID card

Never saw those forms before so it must be specific to your immigration office.

CALL them and have your wife ask what they're for

Werner Heisenberg it's my first one, and the office is a 2 hour drive away (assuming the roads aren't flooded). Waiting to see if anyone has used these in Korat, otherwise we'll try to message them somehow.

thanks Tod. I wondered if that was the case - it's Korat Immigration. We've been unable contact them by phone, but I'll get her to try Line or Messenger.
