TLDR : Answer Summary
Rikard inquires if they can extend their visa exemption in Thailand for an additional 30 days after previously extending it and conducting a border run to Cambodia. Commenters confirm that extending is generally allowed for each entry, but caution that there may be limits on the number of extensions possible within a calendar year, with specified rules for land and airport entries.

Two exempt land border entries and 6 airport entries per year are allowed. Many people say air entry is unlimited, but the Thai Immigration website states 6 airport entries.

The original poster was doing it by land , so I gave him a heads up
The two times by air are up to the immigration officer and which airport you fly into in Thailand
That has been mine and others experience since I first visited in 2009
Iβm now on a multi entry visa as Iβm only here maximum of six months each year
