TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the financial requirements for maintaining a Guardian visa in Thailand after its renewal. The comments indicate that a minimum of 500,000 baht must be kept in the bank account. For the first yearly extension, the funds only need to be held for 30 days prior to applying. For subsequent extensions, the funds must be retained for 3 months before applying. However, the user is unsure how long they need to keep this amount after the renewal.
nope, there is no requirement to keep it in the bank for any length of time
BUT
With that being said, that visa extension has a 30 day "under consideration" period after you apply before you go back and get the year extension inked in. MANY immigration offices are asking people to keep the funds in the account until AFTER they issue the extension (so until you go back to get the year inked in)
the financial requirements for a yearly extension of stay based on supporting a foreign child here is 500K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 3 months before you apply for your next yearly extension. For the FIRST yearly extension the money needs to be in the account only for 30 days but every year after that it needs to be in the account for 3 months before you apply for the extension.
