Did you have to prove finances such as equivalent to 800,000 baht and big so how long was the money in your account prior to the application ?

Sherene Zouehid for marriage visa it's 400,000 and you only need that when doing the 1 year extension after your already in the country on the 90 day marriage visa. Im here in country now and applying for my extension on the 25th

That's incorrect Adam. I posted the requirements and they apply to a Single Entry 90 Day Non O. The 400,000 is of course required for a 12 month extension of stay but its also a requirement for a 90 day. The only difference is that for the 90 day Visa there is no requirement to season the cash for 2 months.

Sherene Zouehid for a type O 90 day visa the financial requirement is just bt400,000, not bt800,000, or monthly income of bt40,000.

Sherene Zouehid My application was for a Single Entry Non O based on Marriage - made to the Thai Embassy in London through E-Visa. The financial requirement for that visa is shown below. Although they only ask for 3 month's bank statements when you're using income, I gave them 3 month's statements showing £10,000 to be on the safe side. I have no idea why they ask for that amount - it seems to be a hangover from when they offered a 12 month Multi Entry Non O. In any case, there is no need to 'season' the bank balance for 2 months as there is when making an application for an extension of stay in Thailand. Prior to E-visa, although the Embassy in London stated an amount on their website, they didn't actually enforce a financial requirement. I had several visas without any financial evidence at all back then. I wouldn't risk that with E-Visa though.

Graham Seal it is a type O based on marriage. The requirements are bt400,000, or wages of bt40,000, not bt800,000, or bt65,000 a month. Those commenting missed that part based on marriage, not retirement.
