Hi, everyone, one question about visa type selection in Section 38 ( 24hr online notification:

1. Pic. 1 ( one visa type screenshot on APP Section 38): What does TOWV-30 stand for ? What's the difference between TOWV-30 and EX-30?

1. What's the difference of visa type on picture 2 and picture 3? They are both visa exemption 30 days?

1. Which visa type should be selected on Section 38 for both visas?

Thanks.

There are totally 58 visa types on APP!!! I'm so confused about the abbreviation of many visa types among the list. I will be very appreciated if anyone could have a full explaination list.

It will be very helpful to select the right visa type when doing 24hr online notification.

Thanks again!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the meaning and differences between the TOWV-30 and EX-30 visa types, both related to a 30-day entry in Thailand. They are confused by the abbreviations of many visa types on a Thai immigration app and seeks clarity on which to select for Section 38 of the online notification. It is explained in the comments that TOWV-30 refers to a visa-exempt entry, while EX-30 is for a visa-waiver entry. The critical distinction is that those entering with TOWV-30 can extend their stay for up to 30 days, while those with EX-30 cannot. Additionally, users are informed that selecting a visa type is not mandatory in the online form.

and remember the visa type is NOT a mandatory field so you don't even need to select it

Chose "TOWV-30" for visa exempt entry with ผ.30 in visa class on the stamp.

Chose "EX-30" for visa waiver entry with ผ.ผ.30 in visa class on the stamp.

Those choices are visa-exempt entry and visa waiver entry. Those are different and your entry stamps are different types of entry. For example, visa-exempt entries are eligible for 30 days tourism extension while visa-waiver entries are not.

I am curious, I just saw a British national with two consecutive stamps, the first was a ผ30 (from BKK) and the second was a ผผ30 (from HKT) do you think that was a mistake from the Phuket airport immigration officer and will they have a problem getting the 30 days extension?

, yes ผผ30 is a mistake for a British passport and as a rule, you cannot apply for an extension on that stamp.
