TLDR : Answer Summary
For a Thai O visa application based on marriage, the bank statement must show that the 400,000 THB has been seasoned for at least 2 months before the application date. Applicants typically request their bank statement on the same day as their immigration visit. However, requirements may vary by immigration office, with some accepting documents dated up to a week before the appointment. It's best to check with your specific immigration office for their policies on the timing and type of bank statement required.

Regarding bank accounts for the seasoning requirements for the various extension of stays: This is not a banking advice group, however most people seeking an extension of stay using “banked money” method open a standard savings account. All of the common, big banks in Thailand that you find at department stores or shopping malls offer this type of savings account. Ask the bank to open a savings account that is accepted by the immigration office, they would know what type of bank account to open. This bank account allows unlimited withdraws and deposits to the account, and almost always come with a bank book.
If a person is interested in a high-interest bank account, my advice is to open two accounts: A standard savings account that has the minimum amount of money for the extension of stay, and a high interest account that has the remainder of the money. If a person wants to try using a more exotic type of bank account, ask the local immigration office what type of bank accounts they accept.

This post has gone way off the rails, and I'm closing comments. Both the poster and Kevin has information needed on what to do. I know certain banks, like Citi, does not issue passbooks, and people are still able to get extension of stays as normal. There are 70+ immigration offices, and different immigration offices have different policies.
To get an extension of stay based on marriage (or retirement) using the seasoned money method, the funds must be able to be fully withdraw without bank-imposed limits.
If the immigration office is making a policy that isn't fair, ask them to have Bangkok Immigration to review the paperwork. I do not have time to review to review the various banking plans, in Thai, to see what type of restrictions they have or what type of account they actually are.
You can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on marriage with a Thai National when the 400.000 Thb is 2 months seasoned on the bank prior application date.
But make sure you still have time left on your current stay.

a letter from the bank that the money is in the bank for 2 months, some offices want that letter dated the day of application, others tell maximum 1 day or 1 week old. Check with your local offices as there are more than 70 nationwide.
