Question about extending the 30 day visa exempt by 60 days (visit family) with a UK marriage cert.

I have previously been successful doing this but am hearing immigration offices now require the UK marriage cert, to be stamped at the British embassy and translated to Thai. What’s the up to date info on this?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about extending their 30-day visa exemption in Thailand for an additional 60 days to visit family, highlighting that they had previously succeeded in doing so but had heard new requirements might be enforced. Several comments suggested alternatives, such as obtaining a tourist visa for a longer stay. Clarifications indicated that the UK marriage certificate may need to be certified by the British embassy and translated into Thai as new requirements. It's highlighted that the UK marriage certificate might not be accepted without prior certification.

this is really far out of the scope of visa advice BUT if you married in the UK the brit consulate here has not certified marriage certificates from the UK for quite some time.

You need to have it done in Milton Keynes UK before you wing your way here or if you're here you need to send it back This is an image I took in a translation shop outlining how it's done. You will not get the marriage registered here NOR will you be able to use that marriage certificate to get an extension based on marriage at an immigration office without it

So just UK marriage cert in English is not enough for 60days extension visiting Thai family?

Then

has to check his local immigration office (if he is in Thailand) which he needs to show under current regulations there.

Why not get a tourist visa ...that will give you 60+30=90 days...

And if you are legally married to Thai...

Show the proof of marriage with your Thai wife at Thai immigration when applying for the 60 days family visit extension.

Has your marriage been registered in Thailand?

just apply for the Non-O visa in UK before coming to Thailand and that will give you 90 days straight upon entry date.
