Good morning everyone. I'm sure this subject has probably been discussed at some point. Therefore, I'd be grateful if someone would confirm the current required documents needed to submit alongside an embassy letter for a 30 day extension at Chiang mai immigration. Currently on amnesty, expired MTV - TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 30-day extension at Chiang Mai immigration while on amnesty with an expired MTV, the required documents typically include: 1. Passport 2. Copies of: - Data (picture) page - Visa exempt stamp page - Departure card - Embassy letter - Entry stamp 3. One passport photo (confirm the number with immigration) 4. 1,900 THB fee (keep it separate from the documents) 5. TM30 form from your accommodation host 6. GPS coordinates of your accommodation 7. TM7 form for the application (available at immigration) Check with Chiang Mai immigration directly for the most accurate requirements, as they can vary.

I was rejected at Chiang Mai Immigration yesterday for not having a TM30 form from my Airbnb host. You have to provide that as well as coordinates for the place you are staying in CM 👍🏽

What do you mean by "coordinates"?

GPS coordinates...latitude + longitude. It’s easy enough to find on google maps, but we had to include it with the address. I’m mentioning because we had to go downstairs to a coffee shop to get WiFi to find it. Probably easier to have that info beforehand.

I was going to reject this post, but I figure it'll be commonly asked. You'll be best asking Chiang Mai immigration, however, for Bangkok, you'll need:

1. Your passport.

2. Copies of: (sign each page)

a. Data ("picture") page

b. A copy of the page with visa exempt stamp

c. A copy of the departure card

d. A copy of embassy letter

e. A copy of your entry stamp

3. ONE passport photo (only handed one photo. Others have said 2 is needed. )

4. 1,900 THB fee (be sure to hand it separate from you stack of papers or they will drop it.)

5. A form acknowledging the overstay penalty. They will provide this.

6. TM 7 (The application for extension, you can get that at immigration).

I appreciate that so thanks for allowong post. IBdo appreciate that different Immmigragion offices will require different documentation, thus if someone has completed this process recently at CM, I'd appreciate their comments. TIA
