TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your Thai visa for another 30 days, you will need to prepare the following documents: 1) A blue pen (as some offices require it), 2) Your passport, 3) Completed TM7 form (available at the immigration office), 4) A signed copy of your passport's data page, 5) A signed copy of your entry stamp, 6) A signed copy of your visa (if applicable), 7) A TM6 departure card copy (leave blank if you entered by air without one), 8) A passport photo, 9) 1,900 baht for the fee, and 10) A TM30 filing from your hotel or landlord. Additionally, it is advisable to go to the office early, as some allow you to apply 30 days in advance.

You will need :-
A blue pen (some offices are pedantic about blue)
Your passport
Fill out form TM7 (available at the office)
Copy passport data page (signed by you)
Copy of entry stamp (signed by you)
Copy of your visa - either the sticker in your passport or pdf evisa (the former signed by you). * if you had one.
Copy of TM6 departure card (signed by you) *if you entered by air you wouldn’t have been given one so leave the space on the form blank.
Passport photo (most offices have facilities on site or nearby)
1,900 baht
Most offices ask for a TM30, which your hotel or landlord should have filed on your behalf. A printed screenshot of their filing it online will generally suffice as evidence you have one - except if you use the Chiang Mai or Jomtien offices. You have to get the screenshot converted to the paper receipt from a manual TM30 filing.
They add on the days so there is no downside to going early. Most offices allow 30 days prior but Jomtien, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan you have to wait until your final week.
Have them sign up to the online reporting system if they haven’t already. It’s super easy.

Anyone tried extending their visa twice in a short time? Probably after 3 months (extended once) fly out of Thailand and fly back in a month later for another 3 months? Will the immigration question anything?
Generally speaking if you can get in you’ll get an extension. I’ve only ever seen one case where an extension was refused (where it normally would have been allowed).
