Returning from Thailand on 2nd Feb. Bit confused about rules. UK site says PCR or Lateral flow 2 Day booking for PLF. Hope it's okay for Bahrain stopover.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The traveler is seeking clarification on return requirements to the UK from Thailand, including testing protocols and the relevance of a stopover in Bahrain. Key insights from comments suggest that fully vaccinated individuals may only need to complete a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) and not necessarily take a PCR test unless specified by the airline. A friend returning via KLM shared that they will not need a test, only proof of vaccination, while entry into the UK requires booking an Lateral Flow Test (LFT) in advance.

A friend is returning to UK on Feb 3 with KLM (stopover in Amsterdam 9hr). Current advice for KLM is no test required just proof of vaccination. Entry into UK need to book LFT in advance. Proof of double vacc. also required.
also need to consider what (if any) effect a transit stopover in another country may have on entry requirements for final destination (ie length of time or where).

I read the rules are changing again very shortly but cant remember date. Only a plf will be required for vaccinated unless the airline insist on pcr test. Thai Airways appear not to require a test pre flight.

Thanks. Some 'approved' companies such as Biogroup do not even send a code.
