TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers from Thailand to the UK no longer need a PCR test if they are vaccinated, following recent changes announced. However, specific airlines may have their own testing requirements, and caution is advised with certain carriers.
Yes these changes were announced yesterday. If you are vaccinated you don't need any testing. The only exception would be the airline requiring it but that really shouldn't be the case.
Yes a lot of people fail to understand that countries and airlines are mutually exclusive; just because one might ask for a test, it doesnβt follow that the other also will β and vice versa. Always repeat always check with both the airline and the embassy to ensure their regulations are compatible for you.
