TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers flying from Bangkok to the UK via Singapore must pre-book a COVID-19 PCR or antigen test in Thailand within 48 hours before departure. Additionally, a Day 2 PCR test must be booked prior to leaving for the UK, and the reference number for this test is required for the UK passenger locator form.

You will need to book an arrival day 2 pcr test and then use the reference number for your passenger locator form. Also you need an covid test antigen or pcr in Thailand in the previous two days before departure. With a certificate. For transit changi and uk regulations

I recommend booking with Randox on arrival who are at the airports. Took me 5 mins after exiting baggage area at Manchester and then it was done and didn't need to worry getting to a testing center in the next 2 days.

All I want to say is that people must be a sandwich short of a picnic to go to Thailand for a holiday knowing the hoops and cost just to get back into the UK. My rant over.
each to their own. I really don’t think you have the right to call people stupid for making a conscious decision to go somewhere on holiday, if it’s not for you fair enough. But keep your snide remarks to yourself

Randox home test kit, for day 2, probably cheapest at £43 with discount code. Just check there is a drop box near you. Can use any discount code

You need a pcr or antigen test to board your flight back to the Uk, you need a day 2 pcr test booked for when you arrive back in the Uk. This must be booked and paid before you leave for the Uk as the code you get needs to be added to your passenger locator form which you need to complete from 48 hours from your departure time to the Uk
Well I've just started a thread in the UK group. Absolutely steaming with these providers back in tbe UK, thieving bastards. £15 my arse.
Not trying to de rail the thread as I will be travelling back next week myself via Singapore. I'll be doing a PCR in pattaya somewhere within the 48 hr window.
