Hi all, so we need to take a lateral flow test before returning to England, can this LFT be one that I purchased in Thailand (from pharmacy) or has it got to be one from the uk? I know they are slightly different?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the eligibility of using a lateral flow test (LFT) purchased in Thailand for travel back to England. Community responses indicate that it is necessary to obtain the test through a clinic for certification purposes. There are additional discussions about testing procedures upon arrival in the UK and the option to take tests directly at the airport.

Dr Donna as suggested but it looks like a problem with her website. She's at the Racquet Club on Sukhumvit 49. I used Samitivej Sri Nakarin which is reasonably close to the Airport or at least easily accessible. Keep an eye on the UK Gov website though as there was talk in the news that they are going to scrap the requirement for the preflight tests.

Check their opening times and your flight times as I saw someone mention they are not 24 hrs.

You do realise you have to take a test once you arrive back in the UK depending on your vaccine status.

everyone has to take the test within a couple of days of returning, regardless of vaccine status.

passengers who are not fully vaccinated have to take 2 tests which is different from fully vaccinated passengers. Therefore my post still stands.

It has to be done via a clinic or such as you need a certificate.
