TLDR : Answer Summary
As of now, you do not need a PCR test to return to the UK from Thailand; instead, a Day 2 lateral flow test is required. However, specifics may vary depending on the airline and any transit locations. It's important to verify the requirements with your airline, especially for international travel, as they may have different policies in place regarding testing and documentation.

As long as your fully vaccinated you don’t need to do a PCR Test don’t forget you need to complete a passenger location form online

Qatar airways require no test to transit through their airport

my friends mum and father in law didn't have a booking reference number for the PCR test upon returning to the uk and permitted to fly last Saturday, they had to contact home and get ref number but it wasn't done quick enough so they had to book new return flights

Was searching this last nite for requirements when I fly back to the UK IN feb , PCR Not required to fly back but have emailed Emirates for confirmation of what they require pre flight

I just flew back to uk on Friday with emirates. They just asked for everything you needed to return to uk so no pcr but confirmation you had booked your day two test which you had to have for your passenger locator form for returning to uk😊

@Gordon ******
day 2 lateral flow test(private not nhs)for landing back in the uk at the moment you need this for your passenger locator form which will need your ref code of your lateral flow test,but rumour has it all these requirements will be removed shortly

@Co***
yea I booked the delivered LF test last night but have to wait 48 hrs before I can finish filling out the locator form 😂

@Gordon ******
yes that’s it passenger locator form only asks if you have been anywhere else which they would obviously check against your passport,you can fill it out up to a certain point then save the link which the gov e-mail to you to complete when ever suits you
Gordon *******
Yep
@Co***
that’s what I done last night , just need to remember to do it now before I go to the airport in a few weeks as think they ask to see the form before checking in
Colin ********
@Gordon ******
yes Thai air did with,they also asked my vaccination status I’m

Sure that’s on the PLF but I still had paper copies of my nhs vac status

Vaccinated: UK prebooked lateral flow test by day 2.

This is likely to change from Jan 26 apparently.

Obviously airline and transit may have other requirements.
