TLDR : Answer Summary
Chinese citizens face stringent challenges when applying for the Thailand DTV visa, with Laos as the only available application option mentioned. The requirement to deposit 500,000 baht for three months is emphasized as non-negotiable. Previous experiences indicated that many Chinese applicants have been rejected despite complete documentation, a result of past abuses of the DTV scheme by scammers, which has negatively impacted the credibility of legitimate applicants.

He's right. When first announced, Chinese were the first to rush. They got DTV in hundreds but scammers found a way to use it as a cover. They started to use DTV as money laundering cover since they can visit any number of times. It's because of those early days scammers, Thailand blocked bank account on DTV. In short, those scammers hurt reputation of China and DTV as a whole.

You can search the previous posts. Many Chinese applicants have been rejected, despite having all the documents. Any reason why you are against applying in Laos?
