Hello. Does yoga count as soft power for DTV Visa?

How long must you be registered for, for example, a cooking course. The courses available on Koh Samui are only shorter courses.

Can you buy a gym card that includes Thai boxing?

How far back does 500,000 baht have to be in my account?

many greetings to you all

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry discusses the eligibility of yoga as a soft power course for obtaining a DTV Visa in Thailand, the necessary duration for registered courses (cooking, yoga, etc.), options for gyms that include Thai boxing, and the financial obligations of maintaining a minimum balance in a bank account for visa purposes. Responses indicate that course lengths can vary by consulate, with a preference for longer courses (typically at least 6 months) to meet visa requirements. The amount in the bank account must be consistent for an unspecified duration, and it’s advised to consult specific consulates for tailored guidance.

Embassys are changing and looking for longer courses. When we did our first one (I own a muay thai gym) 10 private lessons got approved. But now increasingly they are looking for a 6 month course to match the 180 day stamp. If you submit a short course it could get by but there is a chance they could say you don't need a dtv a tourist visa will suffice. So to be on the safe side choose a longer course.

Course length, funds in account length, are all dependant on individual consulate you apply at. Typically soft power course providers will need to be government registered tax paying businesses, as the consulate will likely want to see their business registration documents. So read through posts here and choose a consulate that suits your situation.
