How long must you be registered for, for example, a cooking course. The courses available on Koh Samui are only shorter courses.

Can you buy a gym card that includes Thai boxing?

Embassys are changing and looking for longer courses. When we did our first one (I own a muay thai gym) 10 private lessons got approved. But now increasingly they are looking for a 6 month course to match the 180 day stamp. If you submit a short course it could get by but there is a chance they could say you don't need a dtv a tourist visa will suffice. So to be on the safe side choose a longer course.

Course length, funds in account length, are all dependant on individual consulate you apply at. Typically soft power course providers will need to be government registered tax paying businesses, as the consulate will likely want to see their business registration documents.
